CLAT 2025 Second Seat Allotment List Released | Check Deadlines, Fee Payment & Admission Process

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially released the second provisional seat allotment list for CLAT 2025 today, June 4, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) can now check their updated allotment status on the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Key Deadlines for Shortlisted Candidates

All candidates whose names appear in the second allotment list must complete the following steps to confirm their admission:

  • Confirmation Fee Payment (₹20,000): Deadline – June 9, 2025, by 1 PM
  • University Fee Payment (Varies by NLU): Deadline – June 14, 2025, by 5 PM

Failure to meet any of the above deadlines will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

What Determines the Allotment?

The allotment is based on:

  • CLAT 2025 scores
  • Candidate’s NLU preferences
  • Category-wise cut-offs set by each participating NLU

This year, the total number of available seats includes:

  • 4,092 seats for the 5-year LLB programme
  • 1,599 seats for the LLM programme, including NRI and supernumerary quotas

How to Check the Second Allotment List?

Candidates can view their status by following these steps:

  1. Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  2. Navigate to the ‘CLAT 2025’ section
  3. Click on ‘CLAT 2025 Second Allotment List’ under Notifications
  4. Download and save the PDF list for reference

What’s Next After Allotment?

  • Pay the confirmation fee of ₹20,000 by June 9
  • Complete university fee payment by June 14
  • Follow instructions from the allotted NLU for:
    • Document verification
    • Completion of admission formalities

The second allotment list follows the revised results published on May 17, 2025. A total of three rounds of allotment are scheduled in the CLAT 2025 counselling process.

The CLAT 2025 exam was held on December 1, 2024, in offline mode.
