
The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially opened the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 from August 1, 2025. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes across participating National Law Universities can now apply online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on December 7, 2025, in a single shift from 2 PM to 4 PM.
According to the official statement, “The portal for applying for CLAT 2026 will become functional from the 1st of August 2025 and will remain so until 31st October 2025, the last date of application.”
Before applying, aspirants are advised to carefully read the official information bulletin and check important dates and eligibility criteria.
CLAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admissions to 5-year integrated LLB and 1-year LLM programmes at NLUs. Regular updates regarding the exam pattern, syllabus, and counselling process will be made available on the official website.
