How Many Hours Should I Study for CLAT?

Well, it depends on a few things.

Things like how much you already know, how fast you study, and how much time you’ve got before the big exam.

But, on average, most people say you should study about 6 to 8 hours every day for CLAT. And you should start this routine at least 6-8 months before the actual exam.

Now, let’s break down your study time so it’s not too overwhelming:

Legal Reasoning Question Bank
  • Quantitative Techniques: Spend 1-2 hours on this.
  • Logical Reasoning: Another 1-2 hours.
  • Legal Reasoning: This one needs 2-3 hours.
  • English Language: Dedicate 1-2 hours.
  • Current Affairs: Give it 1-2 hours too.

Remember, you can change these times a bit based on what you’re good at and what you’re not so good at. If, for example, you struggle with math in Quantitative Techniques, it’s okay to spend more time on it.

But wait, there’s more!

You can’t just study books all day long. You also need to practice with mock tests.

This helps you get used to how the real exam works and shows you where you need to improve.

Now, here are some extra tips for you:

  • Make a Study Plan: Plan out what you’re going to study each day and try to stick to it. It helps keep you on track.
  • Find a Quiet Place: Studying is easier when it’s quiet and you don’t have a lot of distractions around.
  • Take Breaks: Don’t study for hours and hours without stopping. Take a break every 30-45 minutes. It keeps your brain fresh.
  • Get Enough Sleep: Sleeping well is important. Your brain needs rest to work at its best.
  • Exercise: Moving around and staying active helps your brain too. So, try to exercise a bit each day.

Remember, the secret to doing well in CLAT is to keep at it and practice regularly. You’ve got this!
