LSAT India Registration: A Step-by-Step Guide

Aspiring law students seeking admission to prestigious law colleges in India must navigate the LSAT India registration process. This comprehensive guide provides detailed insights into the eligibility criteria, required documentation and the step-by-step registration process.

Eligibility for LSAT India

All candidates interested in taking the LSAT India must complete the test registration application. The eligibility criteria include uploading a photo and an electronic copy of a valid photo ID, timely payment of the registration fee and adherence to published test rules.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the intended law college before registering. Test-fee refunds will not be available if a candidate is later deemed ineligible for admission to the chosen law school.

Registration Requirements

To initiate the LSAT India registration, candidates need a valid email address, mobile number and one of the acceptable photo IDs from the provided list. The registration process involves capturing a photo through the integrated camera or uploading a digital photograph.

Careful adherence to instructions is crucial to ensure the acceptance of the photo. Additionally, candidates must pay the requisite test fee using one of the available payment options.

Identification Requirements

During registration, candidates are required to upload an electronic copy of an acceptable photo ID. The ID must be original, current/unexpired, include the candidate’s date of birth and have a recognisable photograph and signature.

Acceptable forms of ID include UIDAI/Aadhaar Card, Passport, Election card/voter ID, PAN card, Driver’s license, SC/ST certificate with a photograph, Military ID/government-issued Armed Forces Dependent ID and Employee ID. Not acceptable forms include photocopies, notarised copies and learner’s driving licenses.

Editing Registration Application

Once the registration fee is submitted, most information in the application cannot be changed. Therefore, it is crucial to enter information carefully. If information is lacking or uncertain, candidates can save the application and return to it later. Some information may be editable after submitting the registration fee.

Completion of Registration

Registration is considered complete when all required information is entered, the photo and identification document are uploaded and the requisite payment is submitted. An email confirmation is sent to the registered email ID and the information can be accessed from the dashboard in the registration application. Closer to the test date, candidates may need to submit a test appointment preference for eligibility.
