New CLAT UG 2025 Results Coming Soon! Court Demands Fresh List in 4 Weeks

The Delhi High Court on April 23, 2025, directed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise the marksheets and publish a fresh list of selected candidates within four weeks, after finding errors in four CLAT UG 2025 questions.

A Division Bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela held in Shivraj Sharma v. Consortium of NLUs that the errors warranted a reevaluation of candidate scores and a republication of results.

Erroneous Questions Identified by the Court

  1. Question 5 (Master Booklet)
    • Error: Incorrect option provided
    • Correct Answer: Option (c)
    • Action: All candidates who chose (c) to get full marks.
  2. Question 77
    • Error: Found to be out of syllabus
    • Action:
      • Students who answered incorrectly will gain 0.25 marks (due to no negative marking).
      • Students who answered correctly will lose 1 mark (as question is withdrawn).
  3. Question 115
    • Error: Option (a) was incorrect
    • Correct Answer: Option (d) – “None of these”
    • Action: All candidates who attempted the question will get full marks.

Court’s Directions

  • Consortium must revise CLAT UG 2025 marksheets

  • The Consortium challenged this in the division bench, leading to the present ruling
  • Supreme Court transferred all CLAT 2025-related cases to Delhi High Court to prevent contradictory rulings across states

Next Steps
