The Indian civil aviation ministry has taken a significant step to enhance regulations within the aviation sector by introducing the Draft Aircraft Bill, 2023. The primary objective of this bill is to streamline and improve provisions related to aircraft design, manufacture, possession, use, operation, sale, import, and export. Through this proactive measure, the civil aviation ministry aims to establish an effective framework for regulating and controlling various aspects of aircraft operations in India. To meet the current industry demands, the bill recognizes the necessity to modernize and simplify existing regulations.
In order to foster inclusivity and gather diverse perspectives, the civil aviation ministry has initiated public consultations on the Draft Aircraft Bill, 2023. This consultation period will last for 30 days, allowing stakeholders and the general public to contribute valuable feedback and suggestions.
