Answers and Calculations:

1.
Given:

Discount on tablet = Rs. 800
→ 400k – 360k = 800
→ k = 20
Required difference = (720k + 360k) – (200k + 600k)
= 280k = Rs. 5,600
Answer: (b)

2.
Given:
800k – 500k = 12,000
→ k = 40
Required sum = 300k + 300k = 600k = Rs. 24,000
Answer: (d)

3.
New SP (mobile) = (90/100) × 240k = 216k
New profit % = (216k – 200k)/200k × 100 = 8%
Actual profit % = (240k – 200k)/200k × 100 = 20%
Required difference = 20 – 8 = 12%
Answer: (a)

4.
Discount % (notebook) = (600k – 510k)/600k × 100 = 15%
Answer: (c)

5.
Profit on laptop = 720k – 600k = 120k
Markup on mobile = 300k – 200k = 100k
Required % = (120k – 100k)/100k × 100 = 20%
Answer: (d)
