CJI Surya Kant Launches ‘One Case One Data’ Initiative And AI Chatbot ‘Su Sahay’

In a major push towards judicial digitalisation, Surya Kant on Monday launched the “One Case One Data” initiative and introduced an Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbot named “Su Sahay” for the Supreme Court of India website. The announcement was made during court proceedings as part of efforts to modernise court administration and improve access to justice.

The “One Case One Data” initiative aims to create a unified digital framework connecting case-related information from High Courts, district courts and taluka courts across the country. The system is expected to bring all levels of judicial data onto a single integrated platform.

Speaking about the initiative, the CJI said, “We are commencing the ‘one case one data’ initiative with multi-level information of all high courts, district and taluka court details embedded. We look forward to developing an efficient case management system.”

The project is expected to strengthen case management by creating a more organised and interconnected database within the Indian judicial system. The move is also likely to reduce procedural difficulties caused by fragmented court records and separate data systems functioning across different courts.

Alongside the data integration initiative, the CJI also announced the launch of “Su Sahay”, an AI-based assistance chatbot integrated into the Supreme Court’s official website. The chatbot has been designed to help litigants and citizens access court-related information and basic guidance more conveniently.

According to the CJI, the chatbot has been developed by the National Informatics Centre in collaboration with the Supreme Court Registry. It is intended to serve as a front-end support system for users seeking assistance regarding Supreme Court services and procedures.

“We are also launching ‘Su Sahay’, an assistance chatbot for our website, developed by the NIC in collaboration with the Registry. This will provide a simple and convenient interface for citizens to seek front-end guidelines and guidance in accessing essential services of the Supreme Court,” the CJI stated.

The launch reflects the judiciary’s increasing focus on technology-driven reforms and digital accessibility. In recent years, courts across India have adopted several online systems for filing, virtual hearings and digital case tracking. The latest initiatives appear to be aimed at building a more integrated and citizen-friendly judicial infrastructure.

The CJI also appreciated the contribution of Registry officials and members of the Bar in supporting the implementation of the new digital measures. “My best wishes to the Registry and to the officers who have done this commendable job. I am quite confident that these initiatives will prove beneficial for all stakeholders,” he added.
